A comprehensive solution for the simultaneous transmission of business communication via e-mail, fax and SMS, the new version of Retarus WebExpress 3.1 facilitates even simpler and faster document delivery. Retarus WebExpress 3.1 can now also process distribution lists containing several hundred thousands of addressees without any difficulty. Thanks to the new programmer interface you now also have the option of uploading distribution lists directly from existing CRM systems or address management tools. All customer address details can therefore be maintained centrally, e.g. in a CRM system. All new features and functions are provided at no additional cost.

Spam is becoming more and more targeted, sent in ever smaller amounts to specific regions in local languages. English language contents have decreased (from 55.6% to 39.7%). Simultaneously junk e-mail in other languages has doubled: German spam already constitutes 19.5%. As many e-mail service providers assume that spam likelihood rises with the amount of identical messages sent, local spam attacks are no longer effectively recognized. This especially affects US providers, whose promised recognition rates are only based on English contents. Therefore, multilingual filters are required to identify spam even if it is sent in various languages and smaller amounts.

23.10.2009 | Retarus is Ford Certified VAN Provider in Europe
Ford will cease its X.400 connections with all suppliers on 31 December 2009. Thus all companies serving and supplying Ford AG must have already set up their EDI connections with Ford through a "Ford Certified VAN Provider" via OFTP (Odette File Transfer Protocol) by 1 January 2010. Across the whole of Europe Ford has only authorized five companies to serve as "Ford Certified VAN Providers". Moreover, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland Ford has only chosen one such provider, retarus GmbH. In other words Ford is recommending that all customers and suppliers should set up their EDI connections with the Cologne based car manufacturer via messaging specialist Retarus.

Retarus has committed itself to promoting the harmonization of electronic invoicing within Germany in terms of legal issues, technical details and contents. As a new member of the German e-Invoice Alliance, retarus GmbH is actively supporting simplification and harmonization of the regulatory framework within which companies are allowed to bill electronically. Stahlgruber GmbH provides all spare parts and other items required by motor vehicle repair workshops, offering a range of more than 500,000 articles. 21.09.2009 | Online Digest: Mobile Quarantine
Since the update to version 2.4. of Retarus’ Enterprise Administration Services portal, users have direct access to their quarantined spam. Simply by clicking on a link in the regular, automated digest messages, each recipient now also has the opportunity to gain online access to quarantined spam e-mails. In this way, specific messages can be searched for without delay and conveniently downloaded. The quarantine is available for standard browsers, as well as for mobile devices such as BlackBerry, iPhone and devices with Windows Mobile.

Retarus Desktop Fax enables you to send documents from MS Office programs and Windows surfaces quickly and easily using Retarus Mail2Fax. Version 1.2 of DesktopFax now also sports the additional capacity to fax documents directly from Lotus Notes 8.5 in addition to supporting fax transmission out of Outlook, Exchange and Lotus Notes 7.0.

The Managed Fax Service Retarus Mail2Fax has just become a whole lot more powerful. Retarus Mail2Fax now supports mixed addressing in the TO, CC and BCC fields. Moreover, a limit is no longer placed on the number of recipients that can be entered in the TO field. Retarus Mail2Fax is an excellent replacement for existing fax servers, which in contrast to our service are intensive in terms of cost and efforts. Using our Enterprise Administration Services Portal (EAS) our clients can individually optimize their configuration settings quickly and conveniently.   Useful, highly-detailed statistics are also available at all times.

The Enterprise Administration Services Portal (EAS) provides Retarus clients with an unmatched degree of transparency in and control over utilized services. 20.04.2009 | MTU Onsite Energy achieves cost savings with Faxolution for SAP
The market leader in providing decentralized energy systems has recently made the decision to allow employees in the Spare Parts Service department the option of sending offers directly out of SAP at the click of a button.   Previously the 750 staff members were required to print out the pages comprising the offer and send them manually by fax. As of today WebExpress, Retarus’ powerful web-based communications platform, offers valuable updates to its reporting function. Used distribution lists, along with their respective status details, can now be downloaded and analyzed following transmission. This allows information which has not been delivered to be reprocessed and sent by post immediately. SMS and e-mail messages are now also shown on the report page. Furthermore, the personalised field in fax messages can be created according to the German standard DIN Norm 5008. Empty lines in the address field can now also be hidden on request.
