With around 540,000 members, the Christian Democratic Union is the biggest political party in Germany. As politically relevant information cannot always easily be compiled to suit the standard SMS format of 160 characters, it was of vital importance to the CDU that WebExpress supports MultiPart SMS messages. This divides texts of up to 10,000 characters into numerous SMS messages for transmission.
