Transactional documentation straight from SAP – without a fax server
The vast majority of BayWa’s fax communication is generated by the SAP system. Documents such as order confirmations and delivery notes are sent automatically and have to reach customers as soon as possible. The fax documents are sent to Retarus’ data centers via the standardized RFC/SAP Connect interface, from where they are immediately and safely delivered. Each transmission is thoroughly documented, returning a delivery status message automatically to the relevant SAP system. Detailed transmission reports offer BayWa the ultimate in process visibility.
Optimized workflows: ordered today – delivered tomorrow
Equally important is receiving faxes, as BayWa has to supply its business customers with goods at very short notice – sometimes even overnight. Faxes related to business processes are received at Retarus’ data centers and then forwarded as PDF files via Fax2Mail directly to the e-mail accounts of the addressees. At the same time, IT users at BayWa and Austrian subsidiary RWA have access to Retarus‘ fax services Mail2Fax, Faxolution for Windows and Faxolution for Exchange, ensuring the uncomplicated, secure transmission of printable documents out of other applications. In this way internal process times can be shortened dramatically.
