Companies using communication systems based on Microsoft Exchange can send SMS messages directly from their Outlook client. As with the communication solution Retarus Faxolution for Exchange, the Exchange environment is simply connected to the Cloud infrastructure at the Retarus data centers. So Retarus SMS for Exchange can be used at any work station with e-mail functionality.

Retarus SMS for Exchange is remarkably simple to set up and use. To send SMS messages directly out of Outlook all you need is a Microsoft Exchange send connector set to the Retarus data centers. Retarus transmits the necessary configuration data on startup. This gateway provides mobile phones with access to all mobile networks, so Outlook users can send SMS messages like e-mails and receive automatic feedback on the transmission status. The only difference is that you enter a mobile phone number instead of an e-mail address in the address line.
By default, Retarus SMS for Exchange supports the standard GSM-7 font - providing all 128 customary alphanumeric characters (including special characters) for messages of up to 160 characters. If you need other alphabets (such as Polish or Turkish special characters) it is easy to change settings to UTF-16 code (UNICODE with almost all characters). For messages of more than 160 characters Retarus SMS for Exchange automatically compiles long SMS messages. Retarus SMS for Exchange supports Exchange 2003, 2007 and 2010.
