Retarus Mail2SMS - Send Messages Quickly
Retarus provides an internet gateway to text messaging services. Mobile phones in all networks are accessible via this gateway. To send an e-mail to a mobile phone as an SMS text message, the mail is simply sent to the following address: mobilenumber@retarus-sms-gateway.
Retarus provides addressing details when the service is implemented. Messages to these addresses are sent directly to the Short Message Service Centers. The content of text messages is restricted to the first 160 characters in the subject line of the sent mail. After the message has been successfully delivered to the Short Message Service Centre, the sender receives an e-mail confirmation.
Individual Options
It is possible to specify approved or barred recipient numbers for messages (e.g. only company phones). If a message is much shorter than 160 characters, the address of the sender is included at the start of the message.
The service can be used by all senders in the customer mail domain, but individual senders may be barred if required. Individual sender IDs (e.g. mobile phone numbers stored by us) or alternatively a global sender number (e.g. company exchange number) can be set up for approved users.
Absolutely no advertising and activated within 24 hours
The service is typically activated within 24 hours. Retarus Mail2SMS supports umlauts, offers extended character support (in accordance with GSM 3.38 default character set) and is completely free of advertising.
