Retarus, provider of cloud-based solutions for secure business communications introduces the new Cloud Fax Connector for SAP Solutions — a fully managed cloud fax integration available on SAP® Store, the online marketplace for SAP and partner offerings. The API can be seamlessly integrated into business processes via SAP BTP and is designed for companies seeking to digitize and automate their existing fax infrastructure as part of their migration to SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Retarus Cloud Fax for SAP Solutions is now available on SAP® Store as a Classic Edition with a global transmission package. A free 30-day trial edition is also available.
The integration has been validated by the SAP Solution Hub and is compatible with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition Supply and Demand Segmentation as well as SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. With this, Retarus closes a key communication gap for modern SAP cloud environments, which no longer include a preconfigured fax interface by default. The Cloud Fax Connector leverages a REST API, providing a modern alternative to legacy interfaces such as BC-SMTP or BC-RFC. Initialization takes place via SAP BTP and the SAP Integration Suite, rather than through SAP NetWeaver, which will no longer be supported under standard maintenance after 2027. This provides companies with a future-proof, high-performance, and fully integrable cloud fax solution for their SAP S/4HANA migration—offering a reliable alternative to traditional fax communication.
Digital fax for modern SAP Cloud Solutions
When a predefined event occurs, fax transmission is automatically triggered in real time via the connector. This enables the automated delivery of documents such as orders, product information and recalls, payment and delivery notifications, or confidential correspondence. All documents are transmitted end-to-end encrypted, tamper-proof, and in full compliance with legal requirements through Retarus’ highly available infrastructure.
