Retarus Inducted into the “Email Security Hall of Fame” with Gold Status

Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) awards gold status to companies meeting the highest security standards

Munich, Secaucus, October 15, 2025 //

Retarus has been inducted into the Email Security Hall of Fame as a gold status member. The initiative led by the BSI (Federal Office for Information Security), eco e.V. and Bitkom acknowledges companies which have made email communication in Germany measurably more secure by implementing state-of-the-art security standards.

Within the scope of its Email Security Year 2025 campaign, the BSI has awarded membership in the Hall of Fame to companies actively implementing the BSI’s technical guidelines for secure email transport (TR-03108) and email authentication (TR-03182). Retarus was additionally awarded gold status for implementing the DNSSEC standard. These measures make a significant contribution to the prevention of tampering, phishing attacks and identity theft.

“Especially in the current political situation, bolstering Europe’s tech independence is of crucial importance. Only then can we succeed in safeguarding sensitive information and fulfilling regulatory requirements. That’s why the initiative led by BSI, eco e.V. and Bitkom is an important step in the right direction,” points out Martin Hager, founder and CEO at Retarus. “Being awarded gold status in the Hall of Fame underscores our mission to provide companies with a comprehensive email security solution which meets the very highest security standards.”
