Retarus Transactional Email allows you to define a list of allowed recipient domains (“Trusted Domains”). This ensures that messages are only delivered to approved organizations; any emails accidentally sent to domains not part of that list will be dropped.
This helps ensure that sensitive information is not sent to unintended recipients and that test environments do not accidentally send emails to production users. Risk is mitigated, compliance is bolstered and data leakage is combated. Hence, impact to reputation and privacy is reduced/limited.
Trusted Domains must be set up for at least one Technical Account; up to 50 recipient domains can be defined per sender domain. The feature is configured at the Technical Account L2-level and therefore cannot be controlled at the JobRequest level (REST API or SMTP Adapter). To set up the Trusted Domains feature, open a Service Request and provide the necessary information.
Please note that all Trusted Domains remain subject to the existing Suppression List rules. The feature is optional and can be disabled at any time. For further details, please check our Product Documentation Center.
