This Tuesday, Retarus officially celebrated the opening of its new Global Service and Support Center in Erfurt with great ceremony.
From their new premises in the “Thüringen-Büro-Park” (Thüringen Office Park), Retarus staff will carry out a comprehensive range of services for Retarus’ corporate customers around the globe. The opening ceremony was attended by the Thuringian Minister for Trade and Industry, Wolfgang Tiefensee (SPD), as well as representatives from the Development Organization (Landesentwicklungsgesellschaft) for the State of Thüringen and the Erfurt Municipality.
“If we would like to transform our economy into Economy 4.0, we need companies like Retarus, which support businesses in introducing digital technologies,” Minister Tiefensee said in his welcoming speech. “That’s why I am overjoyed that Retarus has now conclusively decided in favor of setting up a subsidiary in Thüringen and will be using this site to push ahead with digitalization in this country.”
Alongside the existing customer service team, which will initially comprise 15 specialists, several other departments will successively be established in Erfurt. It is planned that they will eventually take over the technical set-up process for new customers and perform change requests for existing IT services. This means that after Munich and Secaucus, NJ (USA), Erfurt has now become the company’s third largest site worldwide. All told, the new offices have already been designed for more than 30 workers and are intended to facilitate and actively promote Retarus’ continued growth.
On Tuesday, reports on the new Retarus offices already appeared on the MDR TV channel in its “Thüringen Journal” program and in the local “Thüringer Allgemeine” newspaper, as well as various local publications. The official Erfurt city portal Erfurt.de also published a report.
