Retarus’ internal monitoring ensures the most reliable service

Retarus has an extensive toolkit for providing customers with the most reliable services. Chief among these tools are our well-trained support personnel, robust service design, and internal monitoring operations.

The Retarus approach leverages our own email and fax services to continuously test our systems, collecting millions of unique data points each month. This gives our engineers a complete picture of our systems’ health, identifying where problems could occur, and helping to mitigate complex issues.

Our nuanced visibility into the intricate details of our email and fax infrastructure enables us to identify and swiftly correct any issue that presents itself — before it becomes a problem. In addition to ensuring maximum visibility into our system’s health and operations, Retarus dedicates significant resources to ensuring flawless cloud service delivery.

Comprehensive monitoring is not a novel concept. Google, Microsoft, IBM, and many other key players in the tech industry use vast arrays of service analytics. Much of their suite of monitoring tools and tactics – Kubernetes, CheckMK, Kibana, real-time network and internet connectivity monitoring, SNMP traps, HA proxies and load balancers, controlled stress tests, and numerous more provisions – are employed at Retarus. What’s more is that this same level of robust monitoring is not available from most cloud messaging providers (e.g. comparable fax and email services).

In IT, nothing works perfectly, 100% of the time. But with over 200K ‘QoS test’ faxes sent every month, API-triggered email delivery validation, 24×7 testing, 3,116 servers in operation, and 10% of our fax rendering resources dedicated to internal monitoring, any potential imperfections won’t affect the customer. 133 million data points collected every month means that Retarus takes service delivery very seriously and has significant resources invested into ensuring the best possible results. Between this and our 24x7x365 expert support, our customers feel comfortable relying on Retarus to handle their critical messaging — be it fax, email, or SMS.
