Retarus and Palo Alto Networks partner to deliver Secure email communication from European data centers

Milano, 06/02/2019 // The WildFire® malware prevention technology from Palo Alto Networks is now part of Retarus’ comprehensive email security portfolio. The global information logistics company has chosen the “WF-500” appliance to provide customers with an even higher level of security as part of its Advanced Threat Protection, or ATP, capabilities.

Retarus has developed its very own infrastructure offering using WildFire appliances from Palo Alto Networks. The company currently operates one of the largest “WF-500” farms in Europe with data centers in Munich and Frankfurt am Main.

The Retarus Email Security Service blocks sophisticated malware, such as viruses, ransomware and other threats like phishing and CxO fraud. It can be adapted to the individual security requirements of the customer. Customers using WildFire “on-premises” can also benefit from the additional security features of Retarus E-Mail Security. Retarus offers a total of three e-mail security packages, including administration and analysis functions as well as additional compliance services such as gateway-based encryption.

As a specialized Managed Security Services Provider, Retarus has access to Palo Alto Networks Security Operating Platform, which collects and shares global threat intelligence from over 26,000 WildFire customers. Retarus, therefore, no longer has to send files that are already identified as malicious to the sandbox. Retarus accelerates the examination of suspicious file attachments and thus significantly reduces the time to deliver email messages to its customers. Sandboxing is one of four new security mechanisms from which Retarus has put together the ATP package for Retarus email security. The other three are Deferred Delivery Scan, Time-of-Click Protection and CxO Fraud Detection.
