Retarus values respectful, open and honest relationships. And that’s the way it should be from the very start. If the Career Team and specialist department both agree that your profile is a potential fit for an open position, we would like to get to know you better and give you the opportunity to get to know us. To do this, we don’t follow conventional approaches such as assessment centers — we’d much rather simply chat with you in person.
Sometimes, all it takes is one conversation to reach a decision. In most cases, however, a second or third is required to clarify open questions, negotiate terms or bring other colleagues into the process. There’s no one standard procedure at Retarus. But naturally we’ll always keep you up to speed on how your application is progressing.

How do I know if a position is still open?
As long as the position is still posted on our online portal, it hasn’t been filled yet.
Can I apply for more than one position?
Of course. But please mention this in your cover letter and make an additional note in our application portal’s comment field. Then we’ll be happy to consider your application for more than one position.
What’s the best way to apply?
Please don’t post or email us your application. Using our online application portal is the best way to get your application to the right person. Click on “Submit application” in the job description and you’ll be taken directly to the portal.
Which supporting documents should I attach to my application?
To gain a first impression, we first of all need your up-to-date CV in a tabular form. Naturally, you also have the option of uploading a personal cover letter as well as your certificates, reports or reference letters. Please consolidate all certificates, reports or reference letters relevant to the position together in one document as far as possible. Tip: Give all your attachments clear and meaningful names, for instance: Name_CV, Name_Cover_Letter, Name_References.
What format and size should the attachments have?
You can upload attachments, such as your cover letter, resume, and certificates, to our online application portal. Up to 5 files (no more than 20 MB) of the type .pdf, .jpeg, .jpg or .png can be attached.
Why do I have to indicate my salary expectations?
You know what your skills are, what you have previously earned and what you would like to earn in the future. The sooner we know how well your salary expectations match up with our budget, the better.
I’ve submitted my application. What now?
You’ll receive an email confirmation as soon as Retarus has received your application. If you don’t receive an email confirmation within 24 hours, please contact the Retarus representative listed in the job description.
Can I edit my application after I have sent it?
No, unfortunately not. If you send your application and then notice you’ve forgotten something or you’d like to make a correction, contact the Retarus representative listed in the job description.
Can I send a speculative application?
