Retarus Press Release:
“May I See Your License, Please?”: LapID Automates Processes with Retarus
Market-leading compliance service for vehicle fleets uses Retarus Transactional Email to drive its appointment management
Munich, 04.06.2020 // LapID Service GmbH now uses Retarus Transactional Email to facilitate communication with its customers. By opting for Munich-based cloud service provider Retarus’ powerful API to manage its appointments and reminders, Germany’s leading provider of services for ensuring company fleet compliance now benefits from impressively high email throughput rates and compliant data processing in local data centers.
Organizations providing company vehicles to their employees have a legal obligation to check drivers’ licenses and provide training to drivers at regular intervals. Managing this by manually organizing appointments and setting reminders is extremely time-consuming. So LapID has automated these processes for their customers – over 250,000 drivers are now conducting their driver’s license checks independently from their own locations by way of an app, or at inspection centers across Germany using an RFID seal. The appointments for each new customer are arranged in compliance with the highest levels of data privacy, using Retarus Transactional Email. Without exception, all data is processed in Retarus’ own local data centers.
High Delivery Rates due to Sender Reputation Management
Using Retarus’ service, LapID is able to send huge volumes of automated, application-specific emails without burdening its own email infrastructure. In addition to constant monitoring and optimization of the data traffic by Retarus’ email specialists, comprehensive Reputation Management ensures that as many emails as possible reliably reach their recipients’ inboxes. Especially for critical business communication, such as emails to confirm appointments, it is essential to avoid messages being falsely classified as spam by the email provider. As a member of the Certified Senders Alliance (CSA), Retarus is automatically whitelisted as a sender by major internet service providers (ISPs) such as Microsoft, Yahoo, Host Europe, AOL and United Internet. This means that LapID’s customers can be sure that their appointment reminders for carrying out license checks and drivers’ training really reach the drivers of company vehicles.
“Our system automatically alerts drivers about upcoming checks, sets new checking appointments and alerts designated escalation recipients should a driver fail to comply with checking requests. All procedures are documented in a tamper-proof manner. The successful delivery of such messages is of crucial importance,” explains Tim Wiersdörfer, Head of Product Management at LapID. “With Retarus we are not only able to ensure a high delivery rate, but also that all data will be processed in Germany, in accordance with the most stringent data privacy regulations.”
“With its innovative solutions for electronically checking drivers’ licenses and providing training to employees with company vehicles, LapID makes a significant contribution to ensuring that company fleet managers are able to meet their legal obligations simply and securely,” says Martin Hager, founder and CEO of Retarus. “The reliable delivery of transactional appointment and reminder emails plays a crucial role in LapID‘s customer journey. After all, a reminder is only useful if it actually reaches its intended recipient and doesn’t disappear into the spam folder. By using Retarus Transactional Email to manage its appointments and reminders, LapID benefits from the very highest delivery rates, while its customers rid themselves of bothersome administrative tasks. Saving valuable time and costs in this way, allows employees to concentrate fully on their core business once again.”
